Summary of motions and actions:
Motion
– That the
RNA Board voice and communicate unqualified support for the City’s
proposed resolution
at the Association of Vancouver Island and Coastal Communities
Annual Meeting to
make the default municipal speed limit 40 kilometers per hour.
Action –
DC will
communicate this to Shellie Gudgeon, with a CC to Mayor and
Council.
Action –
review
the management information relating to each committee and propose
edits.

Budget Proposals for Committees / Activities

JS – For the Land
Use Committee,
maybe the Traffic Committee and others that have frequent,
regularly meetings.
These meetings are well attended – suggest a fund for honorarium
for those who
host meetings and supply refreshments.

DC – Monument at
one of the gateways
to Rockland Neighbourhood; signage in the garden; Greenways
signage;
Community-wide Garage Sale
·
BJ – Government
House wine and
cheese - $2500 budget, some will be recovered through ticket
price.

NC – Outreach,
Membership drive –
Moss St. Market presence, tent, directors’ chairs
Doreen Mueller pulled
together
“committee responsibilities” as part of the Management
Information; a task for
each committee is to review the information relating to their
committee and
propose edits.

has received notice
that current use and/or occupancy is in contravention of the
approved use. Land
Owner has requested a meeting with the Land Use Committee.
o
Next LUC meeting –
Councillor Pam Madoff will
discuss floor-space ratio that is currently a component of R1G
zoning.
o
Conversation with C. Scott
regarding integration
of OCP with Neighbourhood plans – priorities with timing and
precedence.
o
DH would like an updated
copy of the “office
consolidation” of the Zoning Regulation Bylaw.
Traffic
o
Norman Clark will chair

Hot Spots – On Craigdarroch
Road – a new family
(with children) have erected signs to slow-down traffic.

Warren Gardens block
meeting February 14th
– full room (25-30)
§ City
staff
presented analysis of their monitoring (24 hrs over 6 days)
§ City
suggestion
was to add sidewalks to separate traffic from pedestrians;
rejected
unanimously by residents.
§ Residents
were
well informed, dialogue was cordial
§ Suggestions
from
residents – “bulbs” constricting access at either end of the
street.
§ Action
–
need a petition from residents to council asking for “bulbs”
without having
sidewalks.
§ DH
–
suggests bollards across the road at mid-block to prevent through
traffic.
Social
o
Bob June will chair, but
wants assistance with
the invite list and the tickets.
o
July 5th or July
26th at
Government house, RNA pays.
Membership and Welcome

the Welcome Committee
